Earth Day Student Festival
Join the Tallahassee Earth Day Festival and the Lola Hampton Frank Pinder Center for Agroecology for the conclusion to our Earth Week festivities and the third annual Earth Day Festival! Indigenous Plant Nature Walk and Hibiscus Sip and Paint
Join the Lola Hampton Frank Pinder Center for Agroecology and Genie Botanica for an Indigenous plant nature walk and hibiscus sip and paint! Students will walk from FAMU’s Campus to Myers Park while discussing the history of the plants in the historical black community of what was called "Smokey Hollow.” Students will also enjoy hibuscus elderberry ginger tea while they paint plants using hibiscus dye. Indigenous Plants for Our Health - Kitchen Remedies Workshop
Join the Lola Hampton Frank Pinder Center for Agroecology and herbalist Christina Lynch for an herbal medicine workshop exploring kitchen herbals found in the African American pantry. Students will explore the holistic benefits of commonly used herbs generally found in African American households and access the benefits of rooibos and ginger. First Annual Black Maternal Health Ceremony
Join Melanin Mother’s Meet in collaboration with the Lola Hampton Frank Pinder Center for Agroecology for the First Annual Black Maternal Health Ceremony. This event is open to the public and will raise awareness, share stories, and support Tallahassee birthworkers, advocates, and partners as we celebrate Black Maternal health.
